Whispering Pines Treehouse Review

We have always enjoyed visiting Amish Country for a daytime getaway. For this time around, we knew we wanted to stay the night so that we could accomplish more to see and do. A google search will provide plenty of places to stay in Amish Country. After spending an hour looking through different lodging choices, I narrowed our choice down to The Whispering Pines Treehouse. You can reserve the treehouse through www.amishcountrylodging.com

We loved everything about the treehouse. There are a total of 3 treehouses on the property spaced far enough away from each other for privacy. We felt the Whispering Pines was the most private of the 3, however, we wouldn't hesitate to stay in the other two as those still had a great wooded feel to them. Out front there was a reserved parking pad along with a firepit ring. I didn't see any chairs near the fire pit, so if we come again, we would most likely bring our own camping chairs. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the need to always have two camping chairs in your trunk at all times? There are so many instances where we could really use them!

We were impressed with all the attention to detail. This felt like a cabin I would have designed myself if I had the funds to do so! At night, the cabin was well lit, although I do wish the the stairs had a few lights along the steps. I would recommend bringing a small flashlight for this purpose. I used my iPhone flashlight at night, and it worked fine. Speaking of iPhone, one thing I did not realize until well into our stay is that the treehouse does in fact have WiFi. This was a nice feature as Amish Country cell reception is pretty spotty. The treehouse also has a flat screen television with cable. Thought I would mention this since we have stayed in other cabins without a TV and WiFi.

The views, the views, the views! So calming and relaxing. The porch wrapped around 3 sides of the cabin to amazing wooded views. It was so peaceful. I could spend hours just relaxing on this porch!

I loved staying here. The cabin was gorgeous, but what really stood out to me was how clean it was. I love that the treehouse had a kitchenette. While we didn't use the microwave or stove, we did use the fridge and freezer for all the homemade goodies we bought throughout Amish Country. The cabinets were conveniently stocked with dishes and silverware. The dining table got used quite a bit for all of our stuff we would drop when coming in the door (think purse, sunglasses, camera, shopping bags, etc) I will bring my own coffee next time I come and will start doing this anywhere I go from now on. I prefer my own brand. Also, the water was a little different than what I am used to, so I will probably bring my own drinking water too. The bed was comfortable, although, I wish both sides had nightstands. The bed was also pretty high off the ground, making it a little awkward to get in and out of, even with using the bench at the end of the bed as a stool. There is a ton of natural light that pours through the abundant windows and plenty of indoor lighting as well. There were easy pull down shades on the windows which was convenient when settling in for the night. The jacuzzi tub fills from the ceiling (super neat feature), and can either be open or closed off from the main bathroom by the sliding barn door. If I wanted to be super picky, the living room couch could use a refresh.

The treehouse even offers two robes for your use.

All in all, we loved our stay at The Whispering Pines tree house and would give our stay
