Ohio's Amish Country ~ Day 2

4986 Walnut Street | Walnut Creek, Ohio 44687
Found Rebecca's Bistro through tripadvisor. I can't tell you how good this breakfast was. Probably the best omelette I have ever had!
Make sure you make a stop here when coming to Amish Country - www.rebeccasbistro.com
After Breakfast, head down the street and do a little shopping.
I was too busy enjoying Carlisle Gifts (HUGE 3 Level Gift Store) and Coblentz Chocolates (Chocolates & Gifts) to take pictures.
Don't miss these two gems.

I did manage to take this pic while walking down to Coblentz Chocolates.

After shopping, we spent a bulk of our day here. Again, very highly rated on tripadvisor. Read my full review here.

5934  Old Route 39 Northwest | Dover, Ohio 44622
Breitenbach Winery was again very relaxing. See the full review here.

There is a cute gift shop down the street and visible from Breitenbach. Nice little area to check out.

Started the day with the best Omelette I've ever had and ended it with the best Pizza I've ever had. Park Street Pizza is amazing! Check them out at www.parkstreetpizza.com

Ohio's Amish Country ~ Day 1

The drive into Amish Country in the fall is worth the trip alone.

We tried our best to plan the getaway around the peak foliage times. The Discover Ohio website is a great resource for this. The site keeps track of Ohio's changing leaf colors. Click below to see Discover Ohio's Fall Color Report

We stayed at the "Whispering Pines" treehouse. Amazing home away from home while in Amish Country. For my full review Click Here

Hershberger's was a great place to start at. Farm animals, great food, and lots of shopping. See my full review here.

Where baby swiss cheese originated. Definitely a good stop to pick some up.

Took this picture next door to Chalet in the Valley (below). This picture perfectly demonstrates why we went to Amish Country in the fall.

We ate at Chalet in the Valley. They are best known for their fondue and it was AMAZING!
Check out their site at http://www.chaletinthevalley.com

Most of Amish Country is dry.  There's only a couple bars in reasonable driving distance. We visited a couple and definitely prefer Bags Sports Pub as seen above. We were able to chat with the locals here, watch some good games, and of course, have some beer! Great way to end Day 1 of our trip. For location and hours check out www.bagspub.com
